Stone's Original Green Ginger Wine is well known for its distinctive
flavour and traditional recipe. Many years of imaginative and colourful advertising
have also made it a household name in not only Britain and latterly Australia, but
also the Caribbean and many other countries worldwide.

The Brand name itself dates from the mid-nineteenth century, when the
wine was sold by Joseph Stone, a London grocer - one of the earliest examples
of 'own label' retailing. The green ginger wine, however, is much older,
manufactured according to recipes handed down from generation to generation.
